Job summary

BAM is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager for HS2 track infrastructure, joining a collaborative alliance. You will coordinate interfaces between track systems, design partners and alliance members, lead spatial coordination, and drive design assurance and safety governance across the project lifecycle.

The role requires extensive rail systems experience, leadership, and the ability to manage complex design interfaces with multidisciplinary teams in a high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design, integration, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led, design and build or alliance delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors, Design Partners and Alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs produced by partners and third parties.
• Chair and facilitate design coordination meetings and workshops with stakeholders.
• Monitor and report design progress and ensure delivery aligns with client requirements, standards and milestones.
• Coordinate technical assurance activities related to spatial coordination and integrated design.
• Support CDM processes and production of safety-related deliverables.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design principles across all rail systems disciplines.
