Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager for the HS2 Track infrastructure project. You will lead systems integration, design management, and coordinate interfaces across alliance partners and main contractors.

You will chair design coordination meetings, manage spatial coordination, drive technical assurance, and promote Health and Safety in Design across multi-discipline teams while aligning with client requirements and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design and integration.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Leadership in large-scale rail infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between track systems, design partners, and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs and manage design clashes.
• Coordinate design assurance activities and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design and manage CDM processes.
• Chair design coordination meetings and report progress against milestones.

Education

Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
