Job summary

Siemens Mobility is hiring Quantity Surveyors across the UK, including locations like Glasgow, Manchester, London and Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Roles require hybrid working with at least three days per week in the office and involve supporting major rail infrastructure projects with a commercial focus.

You’ll manage work package cost control, stakeholder interfaces, and contract administration while contributing to the delivery of landmark transport schemes across the rail network.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail, engineering, defence, construction, IT or similar project-based industry.
• Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Desirable membership like RICS, CICES or similar.
• Experience collaboratively managing multiple stakeholders across project departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee change control for projects and work packages.
• Provide commercial interface for responsible work packages.
• Support project team with contractual and commercial activities.
• Manage costs for work packages including forecasting and budgeting.
• Assess risks and opportunities related to work packages.
• Prepare internal and external commercial reports as required.
• Maintain auditable records for contractual compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, project management, engineering and finance teams.
