Job summary

Siemens Mobility is hiring Quantity Surveyors across multiple UK locations to support major rail projects. The role requires hybrid working with at least three days per week in the office, contributing to commercial management, cost forecasting, and change control for work packages.

You will engage with clients and internal teams, manage budgets, and ensure contractual compliance while supporting large-scale rail and infrastructure programmes across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience gained within rail, engineering, defence, construction, IT or a similar project-based industry.
• Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Opportunity to work towards or holding a professional membership such as RICS, CICES.
• Experience collaboratively managing multiple stakeholders across project departments.

Responsibilities

• Working experience of project and work package change control and management.
• Providing commercial interface for responsible work packages.
• Providing contractual & commercial support to Project team.
• Experience of work package cost management, including forecasting, budget management and control.
• Experience of work package risks and opportunities.
• Provides input to internal and external commercial reports as required.
• Experience of processes and contract administration.
• Establish and maintain leadership interfaces with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, project management, engineering, and finance teams.
• Responsible for maintaining auditable records for responsible work packages in accordance with contractual requirements.
