Job summary

WSP's Stations team in the Rail business seeks a Principal/Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead teams delivering mechanical building services designs for Railway Stations across the UK and globally.

You will oversee technical delivery, win work, and engage with clients, with opportunities for progression and exposure to prestigious rail projects. Chartered status with a UK engineering institution and familiarity with rail standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical building services design for rail environments.
• Chartered Engineer status with a UK engineering institution.
• Understanding of Network Rail and London Underground standards.
• Knowledge of controls/BMS and mechanical system integration.
• Experience in planning above-ground plumbing and drainage design.

Responsibilities

• Produce and supervise high-quality mechanical building designs for rail projects.
• Lead technical delivery, work-winning, and client engagement.
• Mentor colleagues and supervise junior engineers within the team.
• Ensure designs meet Building Regulations, Part L and net-zero goals.
