You will ensure safety and welfare under the Safety Management System, manage sickness, and drive improvements in safety and productivity.

The role includes coordinating timetable changes, supervising performance, and developing the team to deliver reliable customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage the Driver Managers on a daily basis.
• Establish and manage the budget for train crew.
• Carry out depot safety checks to maintain Group Standards.
• Develop and implement proposals for safety and productivity improvements.
• Investigate train working incidents and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
• Chair consultation meetings with representatives of the recognised Trade Unions.
