Job summary

WM Trains Limited in Bletchley is hiring a Driver Manager to lead driver teams, uphold safety standards, and drive train performance and customer service excellence. The role blends operational leadership with people management and continuous improvement across a 24/7 shift pattern.

You will coach and develop drivers, build cross-functional relationships, and participate in leadership training. A long-term commitment and flexibility to shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Current or recent competence as a Train Driver or Driver Manager, with at least 4 of the last 5 years spent in one of these roles.
• A valid ETDL qualification and accompanying certification.
• Meet all requirements set out within operational standards.
• Strong knowledge of railway rules, regulations and procedures.
• Experience maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Consent for disclosure of previous employment and safety records when required.
• Train driving competence is essential and may be required to undertake driving duties.
• Strong leadership capability with attention to detail and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated with commitment to development.
• Customer-focused mindset with delivery of excellent service.
• Flexibility to work shifts and participate in an on-call rota.
