Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an Appointment Clerk for the Radiology Department. You will manage patient bookings, provide information on scans, and liaise with staff to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.

The role requires experience with radiology bookings, excellent communication, and familiarity with the Soliton and Lorenzo systems. The position is full-time in Nuneaton with a 37.5-hour week and a closing date in early November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience booking radiology referrals and patient preparations.
• Experience using a booking system in any environment.
• Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Service, or demonstrable relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an appointment booking service within the Radiology Department.
• Provide cover for other Appointment Clerks within the Radiology Department.
• Ensure radiological referrals are scheduled to the appropriate modality efficiently.
• Maintain a short notice list of patients with contact numbers for space optimisation.
• Telephone patients if scheduling occurs less than 7 days before appointment date.
• Use the Soliton and Lorenzo systems.
