Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an Appointment Clerk for the Radiology Department. The role involves managing appointment bookings, liaising with patients and staff, and ensuring efficient scheduling using Soliton and Lorenzo systems.

The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and permanent, with a closing date of 6 November 2026. A positive, proactive approach and good communication are essential to provide high-quality patient services.

Qualifications

• Experience of booking all radiological examinations, including patient preparations.
• Experience of using a booking system in some environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide an appointment booking service within the Radiology Department.
• Provide cover for other Appointment Clerks within the Radiology Department.
• Ensure that all Radiological referrals are scheduled to the appropriate modality in an efficient manner to avoid any loss of capacity in the agreed sessions.
• Maintain a short notice list of patients with contact numbers to ensure the efficient use of appointment spaces that become available.
• Telephone patients if scheduling occurs less than 7 days before their appointment date.
• Use of the Soliton and Lorenzo systems.
