Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a professional Radiology receptionist to support the department's smooth patient flow. You will act as the first point of contact, manage appointments, and ensure data accuracy across Radiology and Trust systems.

Effective communication, confidentiality, and a proactive approach are essential. The role includes courtesy calls, handling inquiries by phone, email, and intercom, with training provided and a six-month probation.

Qualifications

• Good general level of education
• Intermediate IT knowledge and Microsoft applications
• Customer care experience
• NHS experience
• Hospital computer system experience

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clinical staff regarding patient arrival times and safety information
• Receiving enquiries by telephone, email and intercom system
• Ensure reception tasks are completed accurately using the CRIS system
• Attend patients in real time for their appointments and record and elevate queries to staff
• Follow up with patients who have failed to attend and monitor waiting room to ensure timely accommodation
