Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Receptionist for the Radiology department. The role provides a comprehensive reception and clerical service to patients, relatives and staff, ensuring confidentiality and high-quality customer care at all times.

You will register patients on CERNER/RIS, identify overseas visitors and those liable to pay, and keep accurate records while supporting multiple hospital sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in admin or reception roles is desirable.
• Proficient data entry and accurate record keeping.
• Knowledge of CERNER/RIS systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for patients and visitors to Radiology.
• Register patient details onto CERNER/RIS at the point of contact.
• Identify overseas visitors and patients liable to pay for treatment.
• Update RIS with arrivals and manage diary slots per service levels.
• Handle DNA cancellations and medical legal requests.
• Provide general admin duties including filing, scanning and stock control.
