Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Religious Education teacher for Weston-super-Mare to provide flexible day-to-day and longer-term supply across local secondary schools.

You could be delivering RE across KS3 and KS4, exploring world religions, ethics and philosophy, while developing pupils’ thinking and debate skills. The role requires QTS or ECT specialising in RE, with experience in UK secondary schools and the ability to manage classes and adapt to varying timetables.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECT specialising in Religious Education.
• Experience teaching RE in a UK secondary school.
• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 across varying ability levels.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Cover topics including world religions, ethics, philosophy and beliefs.
• Follow school schemes of work and curriculum expectations.
• Support GCSE Religious Studies where required.
• Maintain effective behaviour management and classroom routines.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

The Opportunity

We are keen to hear from RE Teachers interested in future supply assignments across Weston-super-Mare. You could be delivering lessons covering a range of religious and non-religious worldviews, ethics, philosophy and contemporary issues, helping pupils develop their understanding and critical-thinking skills. As this is a speculative advert, opportunities will depend on school demand and are not guaranteed immediately.
