R&D Technologist – Grains, Seeds & Sourdough

Location: Buckingham

Shift: Monday to Friday (core hours 08:30 – 17:00)

Salary Range: £36,000 to £38,000

What you will do
  • Play a key role at the Buckingham site, carrying out dual responsibilities for both Sourdough and Grains & Seeds.
  • Play a pivotal role in the smooth transition and successful transfer of Grains, Seeds & Sourdough between sites, including the initial setup in Buckingham.
  • Produce lab samples & prototypes for customer trials.
  • Support the scale‑up of products from lab and pilot to full‑scale production.
  • Carry out shelf‑life testing and validation of products.
  • Provide support to the factory on product launches and improvement initiatives.
  • Create product formulations based on customer briefs.
  • Test products in finished good applications, e.g., bread.
  • Support other team members and functions when needed.
What we expect from you
  • Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or Product Development.
  • Prior experience (3 years) within food manufacturing or another relevant production environment/industry.
  • Ability to travel in the UK and occasionally abroad (average two days a week).
  • Open to flexible working hours.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate or demonstrated awareness of food safety procedures.
  • Computer literacy (primary usage: Microsoft Office Suite and SAP tools).
  • Driver’s licence.
