Job summary

Kier Group in Solihull is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team on the Severn Trent Framework, with travel across the Midlands.

You will manage costs, risks and value, prepare forecasts and cost-to-complete reports, and work with subcontractors to ensure best value while upholding safety and quality standards. The role offers a 45-hour week with some flexibility and opportunities to collaborate across projects within a supportive, inclusive employer.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying with sound commercial and business knowledge
• You have experience working with civil projects within the water industry
• You have excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
• You have experience working with NEC suite of contracts
• You can work effectively to demanding deadlines and have excellent IT skills

Responsibilities

• Controlling costs, maximising value and maintaining quality and safety standards
• Procurement of subcontractors ensuring best value for Kier and our clients
• Accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting and preparation of cost to complete documentation
• Preparation of reports, cost analysis, and assessment of contractor valuations and applications for payment
• Final account compilation and submission of monthly applications to clients
