Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial management of a Water Treatment Works Upgrade project.

You will work within a collaborative commercial team to ensure successful delivery and develop your skills through innovative solutions. Responsibilities include managing procurement, valuations, contract advice, and driving commercial improvements while leading junior staff within a Civils-focused contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Construction-related degree is required.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor, preferably Civils exposure.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.
• Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Manage valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
• Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
• Drive commercial initiatives, produce margin improvement plans and support team members in maximizing opportunities.
• Lead and manage junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines and commercial tasks are met.
