Job summary

Kier Group in Solihull, on the Severn Trent Framework, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with Midlands travel to join our Commercial team. The role focuses on delivering projects with cost efficiency and value creation for clients.

You will work across teams to ensure quality, safety and timely reporting, while managing subcontractor procurement and cost forecasts. 45 hours per week with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience with civil projects within the water industry.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience using NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Control costs, maximise value while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Procurement of subcontractors to ensure best value for Kier and clients.
• Accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting and cost-to-complete documentation.
• Prepare reports, cost analyses, and assess contractor valuations and applications for payment.
• Compile final accounts and submit monthly applications to clients.
