Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a site-focused Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and surveying duties for a housing development. You will monitor costs, prepare budgets and valuations, and liaise with subcontractors to ensure value and compliance. This role offers hybrid working with office, site and remote duties.

Strong numeracy, HND or higher with CSCS, and IT proficiency are essential. You will contribute to cost planning, cash flow analysis and reporting to senior staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card.
• Strong numeracy and ability to interpret budgets and valuations.
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of construction payments tools.
• Understanding of NHBC, Building Regulations and HSE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control procedures and report on cost performance.
• Prepare site budgets, valuations and cost reconciliations.
• Procure subcontractors and materials in line with Group procedures.
• Lead value engineering to achieve best value.
• Analyse costs and cash flow using available systems.
• Present commercial positions at project meetings.
