Quantity Surveyor - Central London

Salary: Competitive + Bonus
Reports to: Commercial Director
Location: Central London (Office-Based)

A leading contractor specialising in restoration, cladding remediation, and fire compartmentation is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The business prides itself on high-quality delivery, strong client relationships, and a service-first culture.

The Role

You will manage the financial and contractual elements of projects, ensuring cost efficiency, accurate valuations, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. You'll work across façade remediation, compartmentation systems, and restoration schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
  • Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments
  • Support procurement and supplier negotiations
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations
  • Prepare and review contracts, tenders, and payment applications
  • Collaborate with design, project, and site teams
  • Provide ongoing cost control and commercial advice
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Experience in design & build projects
  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts
  • Proficient in Excel and cost-management tools
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations/fire safety (desirable)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and drive to succeed
