Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to deliver a full QS service, develop and maintain cost plans, and provide technical cost, contractual and commercial support to projects. The role emphasizes on-site measurement experience and strong contract knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited RICS/CIOB/ICES course, be a strong communicator, and able to work under pressure while applying initiative across civil, infrastructure, and building projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working in Build.
• Accredited course by RICS/CIOB/ICES.
• Experience of onsite measures.
• Knowledge of NEC3 Option A and JCT contracts.
• Understanding of construction management and sustainable techniques.
• Good communicator with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full quantity surveying service and manage cost plan development and maintenance.
• Provide technical cost, contractual and commercial support to the project.

Job description

The Quantity Surveyor will provide a full quantity surveying service and is responsible for managing cost plan development and maintenance, providing technical cost, contractual and commercial support to the project.

• Relevant experience working in Build
• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Experience of onsite measures
• NEC3 Option A form of contract and subcontract conditions
• JCT Design & Build and JCT Standard Building Contract experience
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Good communicator
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
