Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to drive commercial success on live site projects in the Broxbourne area. You will manage costs, cash flow and contract administration, while maintaining strong client and supplier relationships and ensuring profitable delivery.

The role requires expertise in NEC3 and JCT contracting frameworks, build-sector experience, and leadership of on-site commercial teams. A competitive package accompanies this opportunity.

Job description

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in driving commercial success, maximising project value and cash flow while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Acting as the commercial lead on site, you'll provide expert support on contractual and commercial matters, manage costs and project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

About you

• Relevant experience working in Build
• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Experience of onsite measures
• NEC3 Option A form of contract and subcontract conditions
• JCT Design & Build and JCT Standard Building Contract experience
• Managing others
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Good communicator
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
