Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Experience with cost planning and cost control on refurbishment projects.
• Experience working with NHF Schedule of rates is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning for projects and setting up contracts commercially.
• Close out contracts and manage payments to subcontractors/suppliers.
• Liaise with operational teams to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Reconcile cost/value reports and forecast profits.
• Work with NHF Schedule of rates for pricing and billing.
• Approve subcontractors and supplier payments.
• Attend progress meetings with clients and on-site teams.
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor project progression.
• Oversee P&L with operational leads and manage cash flow.

Project Quantity Surveyor

External Planned Maintenance - Refurbishment Projects

Up to £65,000 Plus Package

Our client, an established maintenance contractor based in the Essex area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division.

As a business, they have a turnover of over £50 million Per Annum. They currently deliver external planned refurbishment projects across the South East. With a number of long term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, however they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to da y responsibilities will include;

• Cost planning
• Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & Charing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management
