Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor for a Hertfordshire-based contractor. The role focuses on commercial management of planned maintenance, refurbishments and retrofit projects within a growing property services division.

The candidate should have 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or be ready to step up from an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. A strong track record in cost control and client liaison is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Ability to work on NHF Schedule of rates where required.
• Experience in planned maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and budgeting for projects.
• Close out and set up contracts commercially.
• Coordinate with operational team to meet on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Reconcile cost/value reports and forecast profits.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for payments.
• Attend progress meetings with clients and conduct on-site visits.
• Oversee P&L with operational leads and manage cash flow.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Planned Maintenance - External, Internals Refurbishment & Retrofit Projects

Up to £70,000 Plus Package

Our client, an construction contractor based in the Hertfordshire area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division.

As a business, they have a turnover of over £100 million Per Annum. They currently deliver planned maintenance, construction & retrofit refurbishment projects across the South East. With a number of long term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, however they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to day responsibilities will include

• Cost planning
• Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & Charing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management
