Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor in Hertfordshire to manage cost planning, contract commercials, and on-site oversight for planned maintenance and refurbishments. The role offers progression within a growing contractor with long-term opportunities.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (or as an Assistant stepping up) and will work across external, internals refurbishment and retrofit projects, ensuring budgets and timelines

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or a strong background as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor seeking a step up.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning.
• Closing out and setting up contracts commercially.
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts.
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates.
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments.
• Attending & chairing progress meetings with clients.
• Regular on-site visits.
• Overlook P&L with operational leads.
• Cash flow management.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Planned Maintenance - External, Internals Refurbishment & Retrofit Projects

Salary: Up to £70,000 Plus Package

Our client, a construction contractor based in the Hertfordshire area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division. They have a turnover of over £100 million Per Annum and deliver planned maintenance, construction & retrofit refurbishment projects across the South East. With long-term contracts secured and further frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long-term security and career prospects.
