Job summary

• 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor seeking progression.
• Experience with cost/value reconciliation, commercial contract setup and progress meetings.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and budget control for projects.
• Close out contracts and set up contracts commercially.
• Liaise with operational team to meet deadlines and budget.
• Reconcile cost/value reports and forecast profits.
• Work with NHF schedule of rates.
• Approve sub-contractors and supplier payments.
• Attend progress meetings with clients.
• Conduct regular on-site visits.
• Oversee P&L with operational leads.
• Manage cash flow

Project Quantity Surveyor

Planned Maintenance - External, Internals Refurbishment & Retrofit Projects

Up to £70,000 Plus Package

Our client, an construction contractor based in the Kent area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division.

As a business, they have a turnover of over £100 million Per Annum. They currently deliver planned maintenance, construction & retrofit refurbishment projects across the South East. With a number of long term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, however they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Cost planning
• Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & Charing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management
