Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor for a Kent-based contractor delivering planned maintenance, external works, internals refurbishment and retrofit projects. The role offers a salary up to £70,000 plus package and long-term career prospects.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor or be an experienced Assistant QS ready for a step up. You will manage cost planning, contracts, and up-front commercial activities across South East projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning
• Closing out and setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attend & chair progress meetings with clients
• Regular on-site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management

Planned Maintenance - External, Internals Refurbishment & Retrofit Projects

Up to £70,000 Plus Package

Our client, a construction contractor based in the Kent area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division. As a business, they have a turnover of over £100 million Per Annum. They currently deliver planned maintenance, construction & retrofit refurbishment projects across the South East. With a number of long term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, however they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to day responsibilities

• Cost planning
• Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
