Fortus Recruitment Group Limited in Kent is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a growing property services division. The role focuses on cost planning, commercial setup and day-to-day financial management on planned maintenance, external works, internals refurbishments and retrofit projects across the South East.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience, with progression opportunities and a competitive salary and package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or senior assistant.
• Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates preferred.
• Strong cost control and commercial awareness.
• On-site liaison with operations and clients.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning.
• Close out and setup of contracts commercially.
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are on time and within budget.
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts.
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates.
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments.
• Attend progress meetings with clients.
• Regular on-site visits.
• Oversee P&L with operational leads.
• Cash flow management.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Planned Maintenance - External, Internals Refurbishment & Retrofit Projects

Up to £70,000 Plus Package

Our client, a construction contractor based in the Kent area, are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division.

As a business, they have a turnover of over £100 million Per Annum. They currently deliver planned maintenance, construction & retrofit refurbishment projects across the South East. With a number of long term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, however they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Cost planning
• Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & Charing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management
