Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is representing a growing maintenance contractor in Essex seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division on a permanent basis. They operate external planned refurbishment projects across the South East with a turnover over £50 million.

The role requires 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor, with duties including cost planning, commercial contract setup, on-site progress meetings, cash flow management and P&L oversight.

Qualifications

• Cost planning experience for refurbishment projects.
• Commercial setup and closing of contracts.
• Liaise with operational teams to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Cash flow management and reporting responsibilities.
• P&L oversight alongside operations leads.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning

• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attend and chair progress meetings with clients
• Regular on-site visits
• Overlook P&L with operational leads
