A leading construction company in the UK is offering a Quantity Surveying apprenticeship based in Leeds. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience on large-scale construction projects while working towards a Higher Apprenticeship and professional recognition. After successfully completing Level 4, you will have the opportunity to progress to a Degree Apprenticeship, gaining a full honours degree and continuing your journey towards chartered membership of the CIOB.
Our Quantity Surveying apprenticeship is delivered by Leeds College of Building on a block release (periods of study away from work) basis with accommodation provided. Making Possible Our engineering works cover a range of different sectors and apprentices are based within a variety of different teams working on a wide range of projects, so the type of roles that we have are really varied and interesting. From day one on site you will be with an experienced team of professionals, supporting you to learn and grow your career as a BAM apprentice. Quantity surveyors are the construction professionals who make up our commercial management team. As a quantity surveying apprentice you will work predominantly on site, supporting the delivery of projects and learning from experienced professionals.
Your day to day will include:
Be part of a landmark national infrastructure project: HS2, the UK's new high‑speed rail network. BAM is delivering critical rail track infrastructure across the London‑to‑Birmingham route, covering approximately 140 miles of new high‑speed line. This role places you at the heart of engineering that supports up to 225 mph operation, combining large‑scale civil construction, precision rail systems and sustainable delivery. You will be joining a team committed to low‑carbon construction, with innovations such as double‑composite viaducts that significantly reduce embedded carbon in concrete and steel. As part of your apprenticeship you will work towards professional membership for your profession. We will support you on this journey with our network of professional mentors and subject matter experts, ensuring that you have all that you need to succeed. You'll work towards a Higher Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying and complete a Higher National Certificate (HNC). During this time, you'll also start working towards professional recognition with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
