A leading construction firm in Glasgow is seeking motivated school leavers for a Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship starting in September 2026. Successful candidates will assist with various commercial functions, including cash management and project financial control, under supervision. Ideal candidates will have a UCAS Tariff of 96 or equivalent qualifications and must be eligible to work in the UK. This apprenticeship offers a BSc (Hons) Graduate Apprenticeship in Construction and Built Environment.
We're looking for bright and motivated school leavers who will bring energy, new ideas and a fresh perspective to help us become the recognised leader and transform the construction and engineering industry.
Assist with the commercial function within a project or office, with the provision of a commercial, contractual, and financial management service.
Whilst under supervision, to ensure project profit objectives and targets are met and cash and margin are managed to maximise performance, all in a manner consistent with the Group processes.

Laing O'Rourke collaborate with trusted and approved training providers for our apprenticeship delivery. Successful candidates will be required to make an application to our preferred provider for the apprenticeship route you have chosen.
We accept selected Foundation Apprenticeships, in combination with SQA Highers, for entry to our degree programmes. Your Foundation Apprenticeship will take the place of one SQA Higher qualification for our standard entry requirements and will be treated as equivalent to a B grade at Higher.
Modern Apprenticeships
If you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF level 6 in a relevant discipline this would be equivalent to two Highers at B.
