Job summary

Quest Technical Ltd is seeking a Quality Inspector for our Lancaster-area site. The role focuses on ensuring high-precision inspection using conventional tools and CMM.

You will work with drawings and 3D models to verify components to tight standards. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years in quality inspection within a precision engineering environment, with strong attention to detail, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years working experience as a Quality Inspector.
• Proven experience in a Quality Inspection role within a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to use conventional measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers, height gauges).
• Experience operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
• Ability to inspect components using 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, ideally within AS9100 environments.
• Experience in aerospace, oil & gas, or defence sectors is a distinct advantage.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

We are working with a key client who have a track record stretching back over 40 years, they offer customers a very broad, but complimentary range of contract and sub-contract manufacturing capabilities. They are currently recruiting for the their site near Lancaster for an experienced Quality Inspector.

Key skills required of the Quality Inspector:
