Job summary

Optical Precision invites applications for a Quality Inspector role focused on CMM inspection within a modern inspection department. The team handles precision machined components for sectors including Medical, Motorsports, Oil, Gas, Defence and Aerospace.

You will help verify tolerances, prepare FAIR reports and support NCR/CAPA processes while promoting continuous improvement. Strong aerospace knowledge and experience with AS9100, plus proficiency with measurement tools, are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/manufacturing with AS9100 familiarity.
• Experience using calibrated measuring equipment (Micrometers, Verniers, Shadowgraph).
• CMM inspection experience preferred; training available.
• Basic PC skills: Word and Excel.
• Experience detailing FAIR reports to AS9102 standards.
• Liaising with customer QE's and managing NCR/CAPA through to closeout, plus supply chain issues.
• Experience developing/ updating processes to meet AS9100.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits.

Quality Inspector CMM

Salary £15.00 - £17.00 Per Hour, Plus Overtime & Benefits

JOB PURPOSE - Quality Inspector

We specialise in the supply of precision machined components in to a variety of high value sectors including Medical, Motorsports, Oil, Gas, Defence and Aerospace.

We currently have a requirement for a Quality Inspector to join our team, in a modern well equipped Inspection department, and help the business grow further.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED - Quality Inspector

• Must have experience of working in a similar position, ideally within an Aerospace component, manufacturing environment. Verifying precision toleranced machined components, having familiarity to AS9100 standard.
• Experience of using general associated calibrated measuring equipment (ie: Micrometers, Verniers, shadowgraph, etc.)
• Experience of CMM Inspection would be ideal, however training would be given
• Basic PC skills (working knowledge of Microsoft word / excel)
• Experience of accurately detailing FAIR reports, to include AS9102 (Aerospace standard)
• Experience in liaising, both with customer QE's, in managing any NCR / CAPA activity through to 'Close out', along with similar activity regarding arising 'Supply Chain' issues
• Experience in developing, amending processes / procedures, as necessary to comply with AS9100 standard
• Experience in conducting both internal audits, managing external audits, to satisfy relevant accreditation body, specific customer, audit.
