Job summary

The Recruitment Fix Ltd in Morecambe is seeking a couple of Quality Inspectors to join a long-standing engineering firm. You will inspect machined components, perform first-off, in-process and final inspections, and work with production to maintain high-quality output.

You should be comfortable using CMMs and conventional measuring equipment, reading engineering drawings, and applying AS9100 quality standards to ensure customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quality Inspection role within a precision engineering environment.
• Experience using conventional measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and height gauges.
• Experience operating CMMs and interpreting 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, ideally within AS9100 environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined components to ensure customer specifications and industry standards.
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
• Operate CMM equipment using 3D models for measurement and reporting.
• Complete inspection documentation and maintain quality records.
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Work closely with production to maintain high-quality output.

Our client who are a long-standing engineering firm in Morecambe are looking for a couple of Quality Inspectors due to continued growth and has a range of shift patterns available for suitable candidates

The Job

• Inspecting machined components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
• Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspections
• Operating CMM equipment using 3D models for accurate measurement and reporting
• Completing inspection documentation and maintaining quality records
• Identifying non-conformances and supporting corrective actions
• Working closely with production to maintain high-quality output

About you
