Job summary

ARM is seeking a Quality Design Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Broughton. The role offers £34.76ph Inside IR35 and involves contributing to the delivery of engineering quality targets within a market-leading Defence and Aerospace environment.

You will lead improvement projects, conduct root cause analysis, and oversee corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and reliability, while capturing lessons learned to drive organisational maturity.

Qualifications

• Quality and/or Engineering experience.
• Project Management knowledge
• Understanding of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Root Cause Analysis techniques (9S, 8D, etc.)
• Proficient IT skills (Google Workspace/M Microsoft Office)
• Knowledge of PLM and PDM systems
• Understanding of Engineering Drawing and Modification management
• Experience in a Design or Manufacturing Engineering environment

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver improvement projects to support engineering quality targets.
• Facilitate and support root cause analysis and problem solving activities.
• Establish and drive corrective and preventive action plans for quality improvement.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation plans to prevent/mitigate product and process risk.
• Support deployment of Quality standards within Engineering.
• Capture lessons learned to improve efficiency and product maturity

As the Quality Design Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Drive and deliver improvement projects in order to support the achievement of the Engineering quality targets
• Facilitate and support root cause analysis & practical problem solving activities
• Establish and drive corrective and preventive action plans in order to support the improvement of engineering quality performance and its associated deliverables
• Identify risks/issues relating to the quality of the engineering deliverable and facilitate, support, and drive standardised mitigation plans in order to prevent/mitigate risk linked to the product and its related processes
• Support the deployment of Quality standards and apply them within the Engineering organisation
• Capture lessons learned in order to improve organisation efficiency and product maturity

Your skillset may include:

• Quality and/or Engineering Experience
