Job summary

Tatton Recruitment is seeking a Quality Performance Engineer to join a manufacturing aerospace company on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on driving quality performance, embedding measurement standards, and delivering continuous improvement across the product lifecycle—from design through production.

Key responsibilities include leading quality improvement projects, conducting structured problem-solving sessions, and implementing robust CAPA plans to improve product reliability.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in a Quality and/or Engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 9S) and FMEA.
  • Demonstrated project management knowledge with a track record of executing improvement plans.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver core Quality Improvement Projects/Plans to support Engineering Wing performance targets.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions (e.g., 8D, 9S) to resolve complex quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Establish, drive, and monitor effective Corrective and Preventive Action plans to improve engineering quality deliverables.
  • Identify engineering quality risks and facilitate standardized mitigation plans using FMEA to build repeatability into processes.
  • Support and apply core Quality standards across the broader Engineering organization.
  • Capture and deploy lessons learned to enhance organizational efficiency, process maturity, and overall product reliability.

We are seeking a Quality Performance Engineerto join a Manufacturing company within the Aerospace industry.In this role, you will be directly responsible for driving quality performance activities, embedding measurement standards, and delivering continuous improvement projects across the product lifecycle—from initial design phase through to ongoing production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver core Quality Improvement Projects/Plans to support the achievement of Engineering Wing performance targets.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions (e.g., 8D, 9S) to resolve complex quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Establish, drive, and monitor effective Corrective and Preventive Action plans to improve engineering quality deliverables.
  • Identify engineering quality risks and facilitate standardized mitigation plans using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to build repeatability into processes.
