Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Design Engineer on a 12 month contract, based in Broughton. The role offers a rate of £34.76ph Inside IR35.

You will work alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company, driving quality improvements and supporting root cause analysis, FMEA and corrective action plans to enhance product maturity. Experience in a design or manufacturing environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality engineering and design roles.
• Knowledge of FMEA and RCA techniques.
• Experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
• Strong IT skills with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with PLM and PDM systems.
• Understanding of engineering drawing and modification management.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver improvement projects to meet engineering quality targets.
• Facilitate and support root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Establish corrective and preventive action plans to improve quality.
• Identify risks relating to quality and implement mitigation plans.
• Support deployment of Quality standards within Engineering.
• Capture lessons learned to improve efficiency and product maturity.

Quality Design Engineer

As the Quality Design Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Drive and deliver improvement projects in order to support the achievement of the Engineering quality targets
• Facilitate and support root cause analysis & practical problem solving activities
• Establish and drive corrective and preventive action plans in order to support the improvement of engineering quality performance and its associated deliverables
• Identify risks/issues relating to the quality of the engineering deliverable and facilitate, support, and drive standardised mitigation plans in order to prevent/mitigate risk linked to the product and its related processes
• Support the deployment of Quality standards and apply them within the Engineering organisation
• Capture lessons learned in order to improve organisation efficiency and product maturity

Your skillset may include:

• Quality and/or Engineering Experience
• Project Management knowledge
• Understanding of Failure modes effects analysis
• Understanding of root cause analysis techniques (e.g. 9S, 8D etc.)
• Have excellent IT skills as appropriate to the role (Google Workspace/Microsoft Office)
• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management Systems
• Understanding of Engineering Drawing and Modification management
• Experience in a Design or Manufacturing Engineering Environment
