Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking a Product Quality Assurance Engineer in Stevenage for a 6-month contract. You will provide quality leadership within manufacturing, apply AS9100/EN9100 standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will audit processes, drive non-conformance resolution, and work with SAP to manage issues. The role requires strong auditing experience and deep knowledge of aerospace quality standards.

Qualifications

• Quality professional with experience in process-based integrated management systems and business improvement in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience using risk management and practical problem-solving tools (8D, 5Y, PFMEA).
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
• Quality Auditing experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of EN9100/AS9100.
• Understanding AS9102 - First Article Inspection Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support and advice on all aspects of quality within Manufacturing; apply quality expertise to support business excellence, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Deliver quality assurance assistance to Manufacturing including development and delivery of quality awareness and training.
• Support Manufacturing on programmes to achieve cost, time and quality targets.
• Assess and control product assurance quality processes and outputs.
• Conduct independent assessments and audits to ensure processes and quality requirements are applied and improved.
• Provide management with audit outcome reports and issue tracking.
• Monitor improvements from audit activities and ensure timely closure of issues.
• Maintain links with Quality Assurance colleagues to achieve Quality Objectives.
• Work with Product Assurance Managers to define risk reduction strategies and action plans.
• Support Process Effectiveness Review Programmes development and implementation.
• Interface with Customer Representatives to mitigate quality issues.
• Assist in using SAP as non-conformance tool and identify SAP improvements.

Product Quality Assurance Engineer

6 month contract

As the Product Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Provision of professional support and advice on all aspects of quality within Manufacturing; apply quality expertise to critical business issues to support business excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
• Provision of quality assurance assistance to Manufacturing in support of manufacturing excellence including development and delivery of quality awareness and other process and quality-related training
• Supporting Manufacturing on all programmes to achieve cost, time, and quality targets
• Assessing and controlling the product assurance quality processes and the resulting outputs
• Confirm through a programme of Independent assessments and audits that processes and quality requirements are being successfully implemented, applied, and improved
• Provide reports to Management that identifies the outcome of audits and issues
• Monitor and facilitate the progression of any improvements from audit activities and the timely closure of identified issues
• Maintaining strong links with Quality Assurance colleagues across the business to enable the dissemination and achievement of Quality Objectives within Manufacturing
• Work with Product Assurance Managers and other functions to define appropriate risk reduction strategies/action plans
• Support the development and implementation of the Process Effectiveness Review Programmes
• Interface with Customer Representatives (DQAFF), when required, to support the mitigation of quality issues
• Provide advice and help in the use of SAP as the non-conformance management tool, and identify SAP improvement with respect to the Quality Module
• Facilitation and/or support to various levels of Non-Conformance Review Panel
• Analysis of non-conformance defect data and acting on this data to undertake problem-solving investigations identifying defect root cause and corrective action implementation

Your skillset may include:
