Quality Coordinator – Microbiology
Work Mode: Hybrid flexibility available
Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Coordinator to join their Microbiology team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and improve the site-specific document control system.
• Prepare, update, and manage Quality documentation.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and queries in collaboration.
• Monitor and ensure completion of corrective actions arising from internal and external audits.
• Oversee equipment calibration and monitoring records.
• Deliver Quality inductions.
• Support training in internal auditing, non-conforming work processes, and root cause analysis.
• Monitor and ensure acceptable levels of Internal Quality Control.
• Collate and analyse quality data.
• Investigate non-conforming work issues using root cause analysis.
• Prepare and submit monthly Quality KPI reports.
• Assist with and support external audits.
• Communicate with third-party suppliers for calibration and related services.
• Escalate critical quality issues.
• Perform other quality-related duties as required by management.
Candidate Requirements:
• Degree or equivalent in Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Practical experience of working in a food testing laboratory is essential.
• Experience working in a UKAS-accredited lab is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a quality role is advantageous, though quality training will be provided for the right candidate.
