Job summary

HS2 Ltd. is seeking a Quality Coordinator to join the Midlands project office, supporting the North Region of the HS2 route.

You will produce reports, collate information from multiple teams, coordinate Quality Central meetings and maintain quality trackers, ensuring actions are tracked to closure. You will engage with delivery teams, project managers and senior stakeholders to drive quality improvements, maintain documentation, and deliver accurate information on time.

Responsibilities

• Produce appropriate reports and management information.
• Gather and collate information from different teams to produce monthly reports.
• Arrange and organise meetings in Quality Central Meeting.
• Attend Quality Central Team meetings, take MOM, distribute MOM and follow up actions.
• Collate actions and agenda items for Quality central meetings weekly and keep records.
• Organise Quality Central Forums.
• Support quality related training to drive improvements in quality performance.
• Maintain quality central trackers (TIDPs) and submit by deadlines.
• Advise on preparation of project quality documents and ensure they are prepared by competent people and reviewed as necessary.
• Confident in working with senior management and able to challenge existing ways of working to support business improvement.
• Build strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers.
• Gather, analyse and evaluate facts.
• Pay attention to detail and see things through to completion.
• Deliver reports orally and in writing in an objective and persuasive manner.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be a self-starter who manages their own time and adds value to their function.
• Be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Command respect across the business and within the function.
• Build relationships and influence effectively.
• Demonstrate initiative and resilience.

Job description

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Location:

The North Region comprises Sublots 7 and 8 from Curdworth to Handsacre and runs for approximately 30km. It stretches through a mainly rural landscape between Lichfield, Tamworth and down towards Coleshill.

Key Accountabilities:

• Production of appropriate reports and management information
• To gather and collate information from different teams to produce different monthly reports
• To arrange and organise meetings in Quality Central Meeting
• To attend Quality Central Team meetings, take MOM, distribute MOM to attendees and follow up actions closure
• To collate actions and agenda items for Quality central meetings on a weekly basis and keep records
• To organise Quality Central Forums
• Support quality related training to equip the project with the skills to drive improvements in quality performance
• To maintain quality central trackers (TIDPs) and submit them by deadlines.
• Advise on the preparation of project quality documents and ensure these documents are prepared by competent people and that they are reviewed and revised as necessary
• Confident in working with senior management and able to challenge existing ways of working to support business improvement.
• Build strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers.
• Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.
