Job summary

Stephen James Consulting is seeking a Quality & Compliance Manager for a Derby-based elderly care provider. The role oversees QA monitoring across a small portfolio and reports to SMT.

You will develop a unified governance system and lead audits with action plans to address non-compliance. The successful candidate will bring senior management experience in elderly care, knowledge of adult social care policies, and a strong grasp of quality management systems.

Qualifications

• Senior management experience within elderly care (residential, nursing or dementia care).
• Knowledge of policies, procedures and legislation relating to adult social care.
• Understanding of management information systems and quality management.

Job description

Quality & Compliance Manager required for a growing elderly care provider, based in Derby, East Midlands, this newly created role will be working across a small care home portfolio.

The Quality & Compliance Manager will undertake the quality assurance monitoring and evaluation of registered care services under the direction of the SMT across the portfolio of elderly care services.

Key Requirements:

• To develop and oversee the implementation of an official integrated Quality Assurance and Clinical Governance System.
• To implement and be responsible for managing, organising, and carrying out quality audit visits to registered care services and the preparation and monitoring of action plans following such visits.
• Review CQC inspection and contract monitoring reports and where required provide advice and support on clinical matters affecting compliance including the provision of support in the development and monitoring of action plans to respond to issues of non-compliance.
• Liaising with the Care Quality Commission and other statutory bodies about regulatory matters on behalf of the SMT as required.

Essential requirements for the Quality & Compliance Manager:

• The successful candidate will have worked within elderly care (residential, nursing, dementia care) at senior management level for a number of years.
• Knowledge & understanding of relevant policies, procedures & legislation relating to adult social care.
• An understanding of management information systems, along with operational and strategic issues of quality management.
• Capability of quality assurance and care planning systems.
• Experience of identifying, implementing, and monitoring quality measures across diverse services.

The Quality & Compliance Manager opportunity is offering a salary package of £45,000 - £50,000 + Company Bonus + Travel Expenses.
