Welsh Ambulance Services is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor (Clinical Navigator) to join the Operations Quality Team. You will lead audits, investigations, and quality reviews to enhance patient safety and care quality across remote clinical decision-making within EMS coordination.

You will provide training and leadership to clinicians, identify learning from incidents, and collaborate with governance colleagues to drive improvements. Welsh language ability is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional (HCPC/NMC) with degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in urgent, emergency, or remote care, including clinical navigation or clinical decision-making.
• Experience in leadership, audit, governance, quality assurance, or service improvement.

Responsabilités

• Lead and undertake clinical audits, quality reviews, and investigations across Integrated Care and EMS Coordination.
• Review prioritisation, triage, streaming, and clinical navigation decisions to support safe and effective care.
• Identify themes, risks, and learning, translating findings into service improvements and organisational learning.
• Provide specialist feedback, training, mentoring, and support to Clinical Navigators and other clinicians.
• Support investigations, complaints, serious incidents, and clinical reviews, producing reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to clinical pathways, policies, quality standards, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives.
• Work with colleagues to promote continuous quality improvement and participate in audit calibration and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain clinical credibility through clinical navigation practice and support senior managers as required.
