Job summary

The Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust is hiring an EMS Coordination Team Shift Manager to lead deployment and team activity in a demanding 999 environment.

Welsh language ability is desirable; both Welsh and English speakers are welcome. You must be over 18, and sponsorship is not available under UK immigration rules. Applications are restricted to staff currently employed by the Trust.

Qualifications

• Post graduate education in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• MPDS qualification or ability to achieve within 12 months.
• Working towards an Operational Commander course within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for efficient and effective deployment of resources to meet demand.
• First point of contact representing the Trust in management situations.
• Ensure the shift is well organised and resources deployed.
• Provide operational leadership and supervision of EMS Coordination team on duty.
