Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting qualified teachers to support schools across Durham and surrounding areas for the 2026/27 academic year. We offer day-to-day, short-term and long-term teaching opportunities with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will deliver high-quality teaching, foster an inclusive classroom, and support pupil development across various roles. Opportunities across Durham and surrounding areas are available with a fast-track registration process and access

Qualifications

  • QTS is essential.
  • Experience teaching within a Primary or Secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the current curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication.

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary and Secondary Schools across Durham and the surrounding areas, and with the new academic year now in full swing, demand for qualified teachers has never been higher. We're looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to join our schools and support pupils across the 2026/27 academic year.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.


  • Adaptable, reliable and confident approach to teaching.


  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


  • Completion of the required KCSIE safeguarding training/course, or willingness to complete this as part of the onboarding process.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
