Job summary

Milk Education is working with schools in Darlington and surrounding areas to recruit qualified teachers for the 2026/27 academic year. Roles include day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply with potential for permanent roles.

You will deliver high-quality lessons, support pupil development, and work within inclusive classrooms. Successful candidates will hold QTS, bring classroom experience, and commit to safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

  • QTS is essential to secure short-, day-to-day and long-term teaching assignments.
  • Experience teaching in Primary or Secondary settings is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and effective classroom management.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and completing KCSIE training during onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.
  • Adaptable, reliable and confident approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Completion of the required KCSIE safeguarding training/course, or willingness to complete this as part of the onboarding process.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
