Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Level 2+ Qualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Durham primary schools from September 2026. You will work across settings providing 1:1 and small-group support, interventions and targeted activities, including SEND support.

This role offers day-to-day supply, long-term placements or potential routes to permanent positions, with flexible days to suit your schedule and access to CPD resources and a strong support network.

Qualifications

  • Level 2+ Teaching Assistant / Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Experience supporting SEND is desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patient, positive and professional approach.
  • Ability to adapt support to individual pupil needs.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a wider school team.
  • Reliable and available for school-based work.

Milk Education is recruiting Level 2+ Qualified Teaching Assistants to work across welcoming Primary Schools in Durham from September 2026.

We're looking for passionate and reliable TAs who are ready to use their skills and experience to support pupils, work alongside teachers and make a genuine difference every day.
