Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Primary Teacher for a Primary School in Oldham on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis starting in September. This temporary role offers a supportive environment focused on pupil wellbeing and community values.

Ideal for a Newly Qualified or Experienced teacher who wants to become a familiar face in a school that prioritises wellbeing, consistency, and staff collaboration, with opportunities to access Milk Academy training.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1/KS2 national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management & behaviour management skills.
  • Strong competency in adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the supportive school team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons - Follow lesson plans and provide engaging, age-appropriate teaching.
  • Manage classroom behaviour - Maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
  • Support pupil progress - Monitor understanding and adapt activities as needed.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver planned lessons - Follow lesson plans and provide engaging, age-appropriate teaching that supports pupils' learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour - Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment using the school's behaviour policies.
  • Support pupil progress - Monitor pupils' understanding, provide appropriate support, and adapt activities where necessary.

  • Work collaboratively with the school - Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff, follow school policies, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
