Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join the team in Wellingborough. You will deliver engaging EYFS-based activities and provide a nurturing environment for children aged 0-5, while adhering to safeguarding requirements.

You will plan play-based learning, monitor development, and communicate progress to families. The role requires Level 3 Early Years or QTS and offers DBS checks and inclusive employment practices.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS is required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging EYFS activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued.
• Plan and deliver play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Monitor development milestones and keep clear records for parents.
• Support daily nursery operations, maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and care.
• Mentor apprentices and volunteers while learning from the team.
