Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a History Teacher in Birmingham to cover a fixed-term maternity contract. You will teach KS3 and KS4, with a possible KS5 contribution, delivering engaging lessons and providing meaningful feedback.

Responsibilities

The Academy is looking to appoint a History Teacher from November on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. The successful History Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 / KS5 where appropriate, planning engaging lessons, assessing progress and providing high-quality feedback while contributing to the wider Humanities department.

The successful History Teacher will have:

• QTS and eligibility to teach in the UK, with ECTs also welcomed to apply
• A degree in History or a related discipline
• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment
• The ability to teach History up to Key Stage 4 / KS4, with Key Stage 5 / KS5 experience desirable
