The Role

A Good secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join its Humanities department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.

The successful candidate will teach History across KS3, KS4, and KS5, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students' historical knowledge, critical thinking, research, and analytical skills. You will inspire students to explore significant historical events, societies, and perspectives while supporting them in achieving their academic potential.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while encouraging curiosity, independent learning, and a genuine passion for History.

The Candidate
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
