Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a large secondary school in South Gloucestershire seeking a History Teacher for a long-term position with an immediate start.

You will deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, maintain high classroom expectations and support students to achieve strong academic progress, while contributing to an ambitious, high-achieving culture.

Salary: £34,068 - £46,937

The school is looking to take on a History Teacher on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful History Teacher will teach History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high classroom expectations and supporting students to make strong academic progress.

The successful History Teacher will have:

• QTS with a History specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to deliver engaging and differentiated History lessons
• A positive approach with high expectations for student achievement
