Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a highly regarded grammar school in Stratford-upon-Avon seeking an experienced History Teacher to cover a period of absence from 25th September 2026.

You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3, KS4 and A-Level, ensuring students stay motivated and challenged while upholding high teaching standards.

This full-time temporary post offers PAYE pay on daily rates of £170 - £250 depending on experience, with access to CPD and support from dedicated consultants.

Job Title: History Teacher

Salary:£170 - £250 per day (depending on experience)

The school is looking to appoint a History Teacher on a full-time basis from 25th September until approximately 9th November 2026. The successful History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and A-Level, ensuring students remain motivated, challenged and supported throughout their learning.

The successful History Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a History specialism


• Proven experience teaching History across KS3, KS4 and A-Level


• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons


• Excellent classroom management skills


• A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning


• The ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and staff
